The Dot Boy

Today is my sons birthday. He is 24 years old. I have been thinking about him this morning and praying for him. I know that God is going to bless his life with restoration and renewal, because He has promised me that He would. God has kept every promise to me, and I believe Him.
When my son was a boy we took him to the eye doctor  and he sat up in the chair and looked at the eye chart. The doctor asked him to read the letters. Our son said, dot, dot, dot!! He couldn't see any letters, it was all blurry, he could just see dots.
I have thought of this so often throughout life and chuckled. How often do I just see dots? I'm not seeing the entire picture, I do not have my God glasses on. From MY point of view it's just a bunch of dots, and unless I seek the will of God and wise counsel from others I will see dots, dots, and more dots. I will not be able to read the letters and get the whole picture!
I'm going to see my dot boy today, he's all grown up now. And like my other three sons, he is precious to me. I am praying that God is showing him more than just the dots.
Jesus, Say That Again to me, if I seek You, You will make all things clear!
